I have students interested in playing music instruments and having a creative outlet when they feel lost otherwise. They don't have the financial ability to afford musical instruments. The school has a small budget to purchase instruments and not enough instruments.
I built up the pep band from 5 - 20 students snd do not have enough instruments for concert band/orchestra.
I have 4 students interested in playing the french horn. The school has only 1 decent single french horn.
I have 2 students interested in playing the cello but there are no cellos.
I have 2 students interested in playing the upright double bass but there are no basses.
I have 2 student interested in playing the viola but there are no violas.
I got 2 violins donated to the school so far and it has put huge smiles on students who feel like they don't fit in elsewhere.
My Project
With these instruments students will be able to play the instruments that they want to play. More students can join the music program. The plan is to have string students join the band. As we get enough string students they can play a small string ensemble piece for concerts. As numbers grow they would become their own class/group. The band program is growing as well. The plan to get the new students caught up is to teach them music lessons and help them with the music then next semester they will join the class.

The students will be given lessons to learn their instruments. I have students interested in playing horn and string instruments. The string instrument students would start by playing with the band students. The violin would play the flute part, viola would play a transcribed clarinet part, the cello would play a trombone/euphonium part, and the double bass would play the tuba part.
