Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a fantastic class! It is filled with energetic, enthusiastic and motivated learners. My students have a unique variety of abilities, interests, and learning styles. They are sweet, kind, caring, and really funny! They love school and they are really eager to learn.
In kindergarten, it is developmentally appropriate to have lessons where the kids have opportunities to interact hands-on and creatively.
In kindergarten, we must focus on rigorous academics, free play, creativity, and developing fine and gross motor skills.
My Project
Do you like sitting in a desk all day? A bunch of 5 and 6 year-olds don't! I like to create flexible seating options for my children to use during various parts of the day. This allows the children to get comfortable while they work. This helps with children's concentration and motivation. I currently have three beanbags the kids fight over. I totally get it! They are totally awesome and super comfortable.
I am requesting three colorful Big Beanbag Seats to expand our flexible seating options.
We often use flexible seating options during story-time, reading workshop, and other subject areas.
The material the beanbags are constructed with is perfect for kindergarten. The shiny material is easy to clean for accidental messes in art projects.
My little munchkins will be really excited to have these additional beanbags in our classroom.
