Balls, Balls, And More Balls
My students need more balls to learn throwing, catching, dodging, and fleeing.
At times, we have up to 47 students in our classroom. There are not enough balls for each student or each pair of students to have a ball during our activities. As a result, students often have to wait in a line that is 4 or 5 people deep before being able to participate in the throwing activity.
Our students are an amazing group of bright children.
They have been working hard to increase their fitness and activity levels. We are a high poverty school with an extremely limited budget. The balls that we use have chunks of foam missing from them.
We will be utilizing these balls for chasing, fleeing, and tagging activities. Additionally, they will be used for throwing, catching, and tossing at stationary targets. These balls will be used to enhance skills for accuracy. The balls that we currently utilize have chunks of foam missing from them.
We encourage our students to take pride in all that they do.
Showing students that people in the community take time and energy to invest in them will show them that they are worth investing in. Having new equipment will allow them the opportunity to demonstrate pride and responsibility.
