Balancing Distance Learning in Kindergarten With Creative Manipulatives
Help me give my students some fun kindergarten materials to enhance their distance learning, including a colorful set of basic skills cards organized on a ring, Playdoh, and sidewalk chalk, all tucked into a red canvas tote.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My multicultural and diverse kindergarten students are primarily from a low socioeconomic community and need help to be able to reach their full potential and thrive during these unprecedented times. I plan to offer them therapeutic creative materials that will enhance and reinforce their learning. I hope these materials will help fill in some gaps In their kindergarten experience and add some joy learning at home.
My Project
My kindergarten students are from a diverse multicultural and low socioeconomic community. Despite the challenges of distance learning I hope to offer creative and therapeutic materials to help address different learning modalities, encourage engagement, fill in some gaps, and add some joy to the kindergarten learning experience.
My plan is to give my students the opportunity to get their hands on some fun, creative, and therapeutic manipulatives.
They will be able to use the engaging and therapeutic Playdoh to form letters, numbers, and objects while improving their fine motor skills and having some fun. The colorful sidewalk chalk will add excitement and enhance learning as they write and draw outside in the fresh air. The set of kindergarten basic skills flashcards, which include letters, numbers, shapes, and colors, are all conveniently organized on a ring. These fun supplies, along with a list of ideas for their use, will be tucked into a red canvas bag to be presented to the students.
