My Students

My students have moderate to sever disabilities, with the majority of my students being on the autism spectrum.

Our school is in a high poverty area in a rural county.

My students have a hard time understanding how to use finances. With the disabilities that my students have they have a severe deficit in communication. They are non verbal and cannot tell you what they need or want.

My Project

My students need the ability to understand how to use finances in their lives. They have communication issues which hinder their ability to use money or the concepts of money with others. The students would be able to access the use of financial resources with the Asus Memo Pad tablets. Our students will use local bank resources to start a savings account.

The students will be able to use financial resources in order to access the use of money in their everyday lives.

The students will be able to use the financial knowledge they learn in order to use money to purchase items as well as to save money.
