My Students

My students from our Arts Magnet school are excited to be learning daily through movement. We are in our first year as an A plus Arts Magnet and our school is so excited about the experience and benefits it offers our population of students. My goal is to expose the students to the Arts, to engage them further in experiential learning. We are located in a low income community; therefore, my students are not always offered opportunities to experience the Arts outside of school.

My students love to move, and deserve nothing but the best!

At school, the children are experiencing many different art forms daily in their classrooms and encore blocks.

My Project

Developing gross motor skills is extremely important to the development of young children. This project will get students different materials to assist them in working on their balance and coordination. My students learn through moving and they will love to incorporate these materials into their everyday learning.

These skills that they practice in the dance education classroom will transition into their everyday lives.

I am very excited to continue adding materials to my classroom that students are excited to explore and learn with everyday! These materials will be used for Kindergarten and 1st grade students especially as they are learning skills that contribute to the growth of their gross motor skills!
