Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are a wonderfully diverse school that has equally as wonderful students. The students continue to amaze me with their generosity and kind spirits. With their open minds and hearts they are willing to help others before helping themselves. They make me proud to be a falcon!

Our students come from a mix of economic and social backgrounds and with a variety of needs.

School is a place where ALL students can come and should feel safe and cared for and I am lucky to work in a school that believes that to the fullest.

My Project

Due to covid our students do not have access to lockers. Because of that our students not only carry the burden of school work emotionally but they carry the physical burden of all their books and school supplies as well. These supplies will help lift that burden and allow them the opportunity to get to class with all the things needed for them to put in full effort to learning and furthering their education. This will also allow for families to focus on other needs at home instead of buying expensive backpacks and school supplies when they need food and gas for their cars.
