Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 25 enthusiastic learners that love learning! We are a Title I school in a low socioeconomic neighborhood with limited resources. 100% of our students receive free lunches. The majority of my students are English Language Learners with a lot of curiosity and great ideas. They come from hard-working families that have at least two jobs. My students need the right resources and tools to help them master the academic standards in all areas and become successful scholars. Many of my students lack the much needed resources to start the school year off right as well as necessary materials to complete assignments/projects at home.
My Project
My students come from homes where obtaining school essentials at the beginning of a school year and throughout are a financial burden on families. I would like to help my students lessen what can be a financial strain on their families and increase organizational skills.
Many of my students are not able to purchase backpacks until late in the year due to financial restrictions at home..
Elementary school is the place where begin to teach and help develop long- term educational organizational skills. My students need backpacks to ensure that all of their materials are kept in one place.
