My students are amazing kids who face many challenges both at home and at school. My students all have various disabilities, but they don't let their disabilities hold them back.
All of my students are unique, but one thing is the same in each of them: they love to learn!
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and face many challenges before even entering our school. We work together every day to overcome those challenges and reach new heights. I work with about 85 special education students every week, reaching kids with various disabilities. My students love to move, explore and play.
In the last five years, our community has seen a huge increase in the number of young children who have various disabilities. These disabilities mean that children begin school when they are very young so that they can get the extra help they need to catch up to their peers in a special education preschool classroom. We have some of the most wonderful, playful, amazing students entering our classrooms and they all deserve the best start to their school career!
My preschool special education students, need backpacks and books to get them ready for school!
These preschool sized backpacks will be filled with books, including new books about their new adventure- preschool! The backpacks will also include a learning activity book and brand new crayons. These backpacks will be given to the children before they start their first day of school, so that every child, despite financial hardship, will have a backpack and supplies for the start of school!
