Help me give my students a place to store their backpacks. This will keep them from stacking them on top of each other's bags and breaking their electronics. I need to keep the bags on the cart.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are amazing! We are an extremely low socioeconomic school. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many come from broken homes and live in poverty. They do not have the means of providing basic school supplies. However, they amaze me daily. With everything they deal with at home, they still make it to school daily. They even come with smiles on their faces. To them, school is their safe place! I keep them safe and help them learn at the same time.
My Project
My students need an area to keep their backpacks in my room. This cart would allow them to be hung and out of the way. It also keeps them from smashing other bags if they were throwing them in a bin. Keeping backpacks away from them, allows them to focus in class and not dig for phones and other items during class.
Hanging them on a sturdy hook and cart allows for easy placement and organization in the classroom.
The students can have an assigned hook and other students won't be crushing their bags or breaking their electronics when throwing their bag on top of one another's.
