Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students come from a lower economic status and have diverse backgrounds but are highly motivated to learn. Most have limited access to technology and the few hours of technology they have access to a week does not seem sufficient to the technology driven society we live in.
My students have a high amount of cultural capital and work hard for their academic success.
Currently, we are working on book clubs and would love the opportunity to integrate technology and reading.
My Project
Many times we want to transfer information from one computer to another and the data files are so large it exceeds the space limit on an email. This would allow us to back up information on classroom computer. Print paper and picture in the classroom for projects.
Also we live in a desert, we have begun a unit on hydration and it’s effects on the brain.
We are asking for an ice machine because many times, students grow complaining that they don’t want to drink water because it’s coming out hot. This will alleviate that problem, and also alíviate the trash cumulated by purchasing of water bottles, this will allow students to bring water bottles and cool down thier water.
