Help me give my students tools to create unique masterpieces and projects in class. We use pens, pencils, markers, and paper on a daily basis and therefore run out of supplies fairly quickly.
I have the pleasure of teaching 40 academically gifted students from schools throughout my parish.
My students are creative, enthusiastic, and highly curious.
My youngest student is in first grade and my oldest student is in eighth grade.
As a group we work on academic enrichment and also social and emotional needs. These students are always eager and up to each new challenge. As a group we are always trying new tasks and taking on new activities.
They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and grateful to have the opportunity to continue working with these students each year!
My Project
Art is an area of school that has been gradually being pushed to the side. Our academically gifted students participate in an enrichment program which allows us to include art in our curriculum. My students love using many different types of materials to create projects. What becomes a problem is the fact that our markers, ink pens, and pencils do not last forever. Many of my permanent markers have dried out. Many of our ink pens have also run out of ink. The lead pencils also do not last as long as we would like. Even our paper supply dwindles.
By donating to our project, you will provide the tools and also the opportunity for my students to express themselves creatively.
My students will be able to draw, doodle, and write with proper tools. We live in a very high stress world. Any tools that we can provide to help our students relieve stress and express their emotions will have a positive and lasting impact on their well being!
