Help me give my students the tools they need in their Writer's and Reader's Toolbox. Access to supplies they need is essential in their success. They need to see their wiritng, and have journals as a guide.
My students are working each and every day through this difficult, challenging time of distance learning. Keeping students engaged is key. My students need online educational materials, they also need basic supplies like pens, journals, books, and other supplies! I want to be able to hand them the bag that has the Writer's and Reader's Tools to be successful. Books, journals, pens, and pencils are definitely needed items.
My non English speaking students, dyslexic, special education, and gifted kids need various levels of books and readers.
This is a time where checking out books from the school library is not an option.
They are a very large, diverse group of students that are learning from home for various reasons to not be exposed to COVID-19. They are at many different educational levels. They all have various learning styles and needs. Some of my students require additional materials based on their accommodations for speech, special education, dyslexia, ESL, as well as gifted.
I want to do everything possible to make them happy, productive children who have every opportunity life can provide regardless!
My Project
My students need books in their hands to read. Journals to write in and a variety of writing tools. They need visuals in front of them like journals with examples that model good sentence structure.
Great writers have stated that writing daily and having pens, pencils, and books are an essential to becoming a successful writer.
My students cannot check out books from the school library at this time and some can't readily afford to buy the books needed. So giving them one can help eliminate the frustration of not being able to look and read a chapter book. Please help me give my students the tools they need!
