I work with a group of thirteen, imaginative and active minds in my classroom! With each student, I am finding that they have unique abilities and strengths that make them who they are. In our room, we have 13 students with varying abilities so our lessons and activities are differentiated to meet each student's needs. I have some students who are typically developing, some with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADHD, and many other varying needs. My class is inspiring in the way their passion and determination increase their progress daily! I've learned at this age, the beauty of how my students see each other simply as friends and don't notice or pay attention to the differences of others. They help, love, and accept each other for who they are and I am learning more and more from them each day I get to be their teacher. Each one of my students is creative, courageous, and world-changers. We love to try new, bold, and exciting things in our room and I want to provide my students with experiences and memories that will last them a lifetime!
My Project
I work in a room of playful, imaginative, and kind little ones! In our room, we learn through play and creating! And so often in our classroom, this learning can lead to messes. When working with students with varying needs, it is important to have the right items and materials to give them a clean and safe learning environment.
In our classroom, we need new learning materials and cleaning items to help give my students a safe and clean learning environment.
The velcro, cardstock, magnetic tens frames, and pens will be used throughout the week in our classroom to make visuals, teach in small groups, and give my room the basics we so often need! The clorox spray, wet wipes, hand sanitizer will provide my classroom with the cleaning basics we need daily to assist my students with special needs and those needing assistance with changing and toileting needs.
