I have recently begun my second year of teaching in a wonderful school district that values not only education, but personal and emotional growth as well. This year I am lucky to have 21 students comprised of 10 boys and 11 girls. My group this year is full of unique dynamics and personality that provides its own successes and challenges daily!
With education rapidly changing, it can often be difficult for a teacher to keep up with the changing trends and best practices with the limited budget of schools.
My goal as a teacher is to always provide students with the resources they need to be the most successful they can possibly be. This requires a classroom full of resources and activities that provide a hands-on learning experience that allows students to be immersed in education in a meaningful way.
My Project
My goal for each of my students is for them to have the resources they need to be successful. Unfortunately, many of the families in our district lack the finances to provide students with basic supplies, By the time they buy the essentials like pencils, notebooks, and folders, they can't afford other resources like crayons, markers, scissors, etc.
With the class sizes on the rise, it has become increasingly difficult for me to ensure that each student in my class has access to the quality supplies needed daily in an elementary classroom.
By receiving a class set of basic materials like art supplies and scissors, my students won't have to worry about whether or not their family can afford these additional school supplies. The addition of the 15 drawer organizer will help my students take care of the materials we receive to ensure they last a long time.
Thank you in advance for helping my students receive the materials they need to be successful!
