This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are adventurous and are always looking to dig deeper and decode the language of music. At our K-8 Pilot School, we serve students from all over the city, including a significant population of low income, English language learners and special education students.
Their curiosity is a perfect match for the endless possibilities of music.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their journey by exploring one of the most magical parts of the school day.
My Project
My students are creative creatures and it is so fun to see how that unfolds every year. Children by nature like to write on everything they can get their hands on so we figure why not give them a chance to do it on our walls! The whiteboard paint and markers in our project will give us a chance to expand our use of the classroom space. No more chart paper!
Having paper and ink supplies will help us to stay on track for those last minute ideas we need to print on the spot.
Lastly, why not have this tied together with a lovely smelling surface and clean room. It's a win on all fronts!
