Help me give my students some basics to last through the year. We need to be able to use our dry erase tables daily and need dry erase markers that don't stain the surfaces to accomplish this.
My students are a pretty diverse lot. Though their backgrounds vary, their struggle in math is a reality for all of them. They often have outside situations which negatively impact or influence their decisions and focus on their education.
The majority of my students have never experienced success in math.
They often struggle to find the desire to begin on the road towards understanding. They are hard working but lack the self-confidence and engagement and drive needed to be successful!
My Project
We will be able to use our previously donated dry erase board tables on a daily basis, providing color and fun to our daily math activities. Our school provides low grade markers in black only and they bleed into the surface of the tables and just dry out very quickly.
We need a supply of dry erase materials, to be able to display our work quickly and also work in a more engaging enviroment than just pencil to paper.
Last year we depleted the markers I had purchased and most of our erasers are on their last leg.
We need to be able to use our tables without damaging them (school provides poor quality and black ink only markers which damage the awesome dry erase board tables have had previously donated). Pencils are also a very much needed item, so we are asking for some of those also. These basic items will make our classroom much more bright and fun!
