My students need ink for our printer, cardstock and file folders so that we can make instructional games and resources. We are going to make task cards, games and writing offices that will be laminated.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My scholars are a part of the partial magnet program at my school. We are in need of some basic school supplies to create games that match our standards. Each classroom is allowed one ink cartridge per year and we are not given supplies to make our own games with. Who doesn't love playing games and learning at the same time?!?!?
My scholars are very enthusiastic learners and love to be challenged outside of workbook pages and assessments.
My requested project would give scholars the ability to practice their skills with task cards, games and reusable resources. I have purchased a few games but they are very expensive when you buy from education supply companies so I would like to make our own games on yardstick and laminate them so they can be used over and over.
My Project
My students will be able to have access to multiple games, task cards and their own writing offices to help guide them in their learning with this toner and cardstock. Completing worksheets gets boring and makes learning boring. Task cards and games make learning fun and enjoyable!
Who wouldn't rather play a game than stare at a worksheet?
The task cards and games that are created with the ink for our printer and the cardstock can be laminated and used multiple times. Writing offices can be made with the file folders and provide a reference point for the many grammar rules and language standards that we work on in second grade.
