Help me give my students some of the resources and materials they had in their previous classroom before the hurricane. The carpet, privacy partitions, and learning games will help on a daily basis for their learning needs!
I am blessed to teach an amazing group of 3rd graders!! Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Michael, they have many difficulties to overcome. Many students have lost their homes, their belongings as well as the many items in their classrooms, a place where they feel safe. Our school had a significant amount of damage, more than anyone originally thought and we will be teaching in portables the rest of the school year. Due to the damage, many teachers lost classroom materials and items needed to use for daily instruction.
We are in need of your help to give our students the education and instruction they are accustomed to receiving every day.
My Project
Before the hurricane and the destruction of our school, my students looked forward to coming into my classroom. Students had the opportunity to play learning games and use technology before they started their day. They could sit on the carpet and move around the room. I want to provide them with the same opportunity in our portable so they look forward to coming to school and starting their day. The privacy boards will also be useful in our small space. Most of our furniture, carpet, and paper materials were destroyed in the storm.
Please help my students feel some normalcy in their new classroom as we start this next semester of school!
