This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My shcolars are unique. If I had to describe them, I would say they are true visionaries. They are creative, curious, and taleneted. What I love most about my scholars is that they are willing and ready to learn. Not to mention, they absolutley love to read.
My schoalrs are persistant, they can push through anything, especially their difficult situations and circumstances.
Many of my shcolars come from challenging households and a in poverty-stricken environments.
Although many of the odds are stacked against them, they continue to rise to the occassion. Not only meeting but exceeding all expectations.
My Project
Teachers are utilizing their funds, and have been since Decemeber to ensure scholars have the neccessary tools and resources needed to be successful academically. However, this is becoming quite costly. We are asking that the generous donors of Donors Choose to come to our rescue.
We are desperately in need of the bare essentials to get through the ends reamainder of the year.
We need copy paper to print daily homework, newletters, calanders, and not to mention LEAP Test Prep Materials. Scholars also need pencils. So please, we urge to you help us get through the end of the year by getting back to the basics.
