My students need school supplies to help enrich their learning experience! We are in need of pencils, personal whiteboards, whiteboard markers, Crayola markers, and lamination sheets.
I work at a small elementary school in Dorchester, MA. My school serves children from kindergarten through 5th grade. About 92% of the students in the school live at or below the poverty line. I am a 4th grade inclusion teacher with 20 students in my class who have a variety of needs. As an inclusion teacher I service all students with behavioral, social emotional, or learning needs. Out of my 20 students seven are on an Individual Education Plan (IEP) for a range of needs. More than half of my students are bilingual, and English is not their primary language.
My students are creative, thoughtful, hardworking and full of questions!
They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. They truly inspire me everyday!
My Project
It's that time of year again! School supplies need to be replenished. We are in need of pencils, personal whiteboards, whiteboard markers, Crayola markers, and lamination sheets. This project would ensure that my students have the materials needed for the school year of 2018-2019.
As a first year lead teacher I need all the support I can get to make sure that my classroom is equip with the supplies my students will need.
Please help in funding this project so that my students can begin their year with necessary supplies and materials to ensure a very successful school year! Thank you!
