My students are in an elementary school that is dedicated to excellence.
I work with Dual Language Learners (DLLs) in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade. My students thrive on interactive and engaging lessons. Many of the students struggle with academic concepts and vocabulary due to lack of experiences and English vocabulary. Although they face challenges, they are hard workers and eager to learn.
My Project
The students would really benefit from the speakers and wireless keyboard to help support the integration of technology. When we play videos to provide background knowledge, the students are unable to hear the sound clearly. The speakers would allow the students to hear everything clearly.
We would also love the wireless keyboard so that students could work from a central location in the classroom, rather than trying to sneak around the desks. This would also help my instruction, so that I do not have to try to fumble to my computer. By having the wireless keyboard, I could stay right with the students and continue with instruction.
Finally, I would love to get the Palette Reading Kit to support students' academics. This kit allows students to work independently on phonics, word study, grammar, and reading skills. The students can also self-correct with this kit. It would be a wonderful way to differentiate, even in small groups.
