Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is in a public inner-city school and we are currently learning virtually to keep students and staff safe during COVID. Many students are struggling as we have transitioned from the brick and mortar classroom to the virtual classroom from home. We recite our school pledge every morning to remind us to be respectful, act responsible, work hard, and keep safe. Teaching students is my passion and I am working hard to do that during the pandemic.
My Project
We have been virtual all school and are set to return to the building for the last rating period in a hybrid format. Help me give my students their own copy of three content books because we can not share books in the classroom during hybrid learning.
Each student will receive three books to use in the classroom during silent reading time.
Two titles were chosen to support current classroom content in science and social studies and the third title is to celebrate third grade. Without access to our classroom library please help me give students books to read while in the brick and mortar classroom.
