My Students
I have always had a great group of second graders who enjoy learning. They attend a Title I school in the inner-city.
My students would love to know that they have classroom supplies to enhance their learning upon returning back to school, a few less things to worry about.
Many of my students are English language learners and we enjoy learning about the diversity in our classroom family.
As a second grade teacher, I have been impressed by all of my students eagerness to learn. They have been hard workers and love pleasing others. I have been blessed to receive such an amazing group of students each teaching year.
My Project
I teach at a Title I School, located in a very high-poverty area. Most of my students usually come to school without supplies at the beginning and thought the school year.
Not having school supplies such as pencils, glue, whiteboard markers, paper, erasers, scissors, books and other materials for my students makes it difficult for them to show their work, model their work and be proud of what they do.
My students would love to have a reading and listening center with a CD player that multiple students can hear the same story at the same time and be able to share feedback together.
