Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I help my students learn English and become literate in their own language as well. My kindergarten students have dreams of making a difference in this world, and they know the importance of having an education. They trust me to provide this, but I need the necessary supplies to help them reach their dreams.
My students are so inquisitive and are always ready to learn despite so many difficult obstacles, especially after Hurricane Harvey.

My Project
Going "back to school" is fun and exciting for students of all ages. However, it can be a bit daunting on parents, especially if they are having financial instability or supplying multiple children. Many children come to class without pencils, pens and the basic needs to start the new year off!
Being able to supply pencils, binders, colors and other basic supplies to my incoming students will help ease the stress of those families and children.
What may seem small to some can be huge to others and being able to start the new year with the basics covered would be wonderful. These supplies will be used on a daily basis to complete classwork, writing stations, and journal writing.
