My fifth graders are eager to learn and love innovative ways to learn difficult skills. Most students in my classroom come from a low-income family; therefore, they may not have the opportunity to use a lot of technology at home. Working in a Title I school brings a lot of challenges, but these students do not let those challenges come in the way of their learning.
My classroom is very diverse with the majority being Hispanic.
All of my students know the importance of learning and education. They come to school every day eager and ready to learn. It is my job to keep them up to par on new, innovative ways to learn skills so that they can be successful.
My Project
These material are basic materials needed to start every school year. Chart paper, markers, laminating pouches, glue sticks are all essentials in a classroom. Each one of these items is used throughout the school year on various projects and assignments.
Students thrive when learning is fun.
I try to make my classroom excited by creating projects for my students to complete together. When they work in groups they learn the values of communication and collaboration to get the assignment completed. Building a strong classroom based on teamwork allows students to feel comfortable in the classroom which will drive them to succeed.
