My Students
Our school is a Title I school in Nevada. The school is able to offer 100% of our students free breakfast and lunch. As a teacher, I noticed that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am looking to keep things engaging and provide my students with a meaningful learning experience.
Sixty percent of my students are reading and writing below grade level.
I am hoping to encourage and motivate my students to embrace their learning experience.
My Project
My students need classroom supplies like binders, binder tabs, sheet protectors and writing journals. This school year I would like to teach my students independence and responsibility by creating a school binder for each student.
Students will be given these supplies to help organize and accept responsibility for their in classroom communication.
The binders will be used daily to communicate with their parents about school news and any school flyers that need to go home.
The writing journals will be used daily in the classroom to teach writing lessons. The students will use journals during writing to explore, create and write stories.
