Help me give my students what they need to learn and thrive whether they're learning virtually or at school.

All of the children I service are English Language Learners. These young learners are passionate about their learning and are often sharing stories about how they go home and teach their parents and grandparents English.
While a majority of my kiddos are in the general education classroom setting, I do have language learners that have learning disabilities and are part of the exemption to come to school for face-to-face instruction during this pandemic.
Having the opportunity to simply read to a language learner that is non-verbal for example, has been eye-opening because there are still ways to see if they are grasping the language. It's a blessing to have such a dynamic group -- watching them make such great strides in their learning.
Whether they are learning from home or school, each student should have the tools they need to learn and grow. It's important to me that I prepare packs for students to have what they need every day--not just for my class but for all of their classes. In reading literature and learning language, students will be making connections that will be expressed in writing. As students develop and fine-tune skills, the paper and notebooks will last all year (hopefully) and give students the visual of seeing their writing improve throughout.
