My Students

I am a special education inclusion teacher at a Title 1 school in Honolulu, Hawaii.

I have a wonderful group of diverse learners.

The students in my class are a mix of general education students and students serviced for special education in the sixth grade. They are learning to be responsible for their things as they transition into middle school. I have a mixture of military children and local children from the Salt Lake area.

Help me provide the necessary materials for my students to feel successful in life, starting with their primary education.

My Project

This year our local middle school donated individual chair desks to our sixth grade students. While we are feeling very fortunate to have received these desks and help our students prepare for their future transition to middle school, we have lost a lot of storage for our students' necessary elementary supplies.

These seat-backs will help the students store their AVID binders and will help them to keep organized, prepared, and ready to take on the day.

These materials are essential for minimizing students transition time. The students' materials will be ready at their desks rather than outside in their backpacks.
