Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love teaching first grade! My students are full of questions, energy, enthusiasm and determination!
First grade is such an important year for kids.
My students are learning and growing everyday, not only academically but socially as well.
My goal for my students is to have them fall in love with school so that they will become life long learners.
I thank you so much for helping me create a classroom where we can grow, thrive and have fun learning together!
My Project
After summer vacation students are excited, nervous and anxious about starting first grade. New friends, new teachers, new classroom and for some a new school can be overwhelming for a six year old.
The back to school read-aloud books will help facilitate classroom discussions about manners and bullies, alleviate student jitters and anxiety, form friendships while building a classroom community and help us learn to celebrate what makes us unique.
The titles below all provide students with great lessons and social skills that they will be able to apply to their day to day activities to help ensure that we have the best year ever together!!
