My students need school supplies like crayons, markers, grammar rulers, a classroom rug, 25 Time For Kids Magazine subscriptions, and other items to make this a successful school year.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Do you remember the love and joy you felt as you entered the classroom each and every day? Well, my students have not yet experienced that joy. Many of them have a great dislike for school and it is my responsibility to change that!!!
My students are from urban, inner city, poverty stricken areas.
In most cases, their parents are not high school graduates. Therefore, my students do not value or realize the importance of education. Additionally,my students do not have parental support at home in regards to homework, which also affects their classroom performance.
My Project
My state has adopted Common Core National Standards along with countless other states. These standards are aimed to provide a more rigorous curriculum resulting in "college and career readiness." Unfortunately, I am lacking the necessary materials to make this possible. My students need school supplies like crayons, markers, grammar rulers, a classroom rug, Time For Kids Magazine subscriptions, and other items to make this a successful school year. I will use these items to push my students and help them to become critical and logical thinkers.
This project is important because I'm aiming to make each and every student a critical thinker, which will allow them to become superior problem solvers.
They will be able to tackle and overcome any problem of any kind in every subject area across the board.
