My Students

This is an excellent book to begin the year with my students. They find themselves enjoying it so much that they read the rest of the series on their own. For many of them, it is one of the first books they actually enjoy reading.

I have 8th grade students in a K-8 school.

Many of them are English Learners and a portion of our student population is receiving free or reduced lunch. My students are hard working and have really enjoyed reading this book. It is an excellent start to the new school year but I am in deep need of a new class set due to the love and use of my current set through the years.

My Project

Through the use of this book my students will be able to review many concepts that they will need to have refreshed due to the long summer vacation. My students find this book interesting and entertaining while reviewing Literature Analysis terminology and methodology.

By being able to continue using this book in my classroom my students will be able to start off their year getting interested in Literature.

I find that starting off the year in this way helps my students remain focused and excited about Language Arts throughout the entire year.
