Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very enthusiastic about coming to school and learning! They go to a low-income school, and a lot of students come to kindergarten with little to no English and leave kindergarten reading!
My students love to come to school to dance, have fun during recess, share their life and stories with friends, and they love learning how to read!
My students enjoy going to centers and completing fun learning activities in the classroom. Students enjoy having hands-on learning centers.
My Project
I am requesting dry erase markers, crayons, pencils, chart paper, and copy paper. Students will be using all these supplies daily in the classroom. Students will be using pencils to write sentences, solve math problems, and illustrate their drawings. Students will be using crayons to add details to drawings and make their pictures colorful!
I will be using chart paper during the whole group to model sentence structure, letter formation, and sight words.
We will be creating class anchor charts for students to reference throughout the day.
I will be using copy paper for students' homework and reading logs, sending a monthly newsletter to keep parents informed on the learning taking place in my classroom.
