Mrs. Stewart from Vista CA is requesting Classroom Basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students essential school supplies to make our distance learning experience a success!
My first graders are so curious and eager to learn! Every day is an adventure with these little ones. As active participants in the learning process, my students LOVE to ask questions (about a million!). They are so intrigued and inspired by the world around them.
More than three-fourths of my class come from economically disadvantaged households and, for many of them, English is their second language.
Despite these outside factors, my students still thrive in the classroom, especially when engaged in activities that connect with a favorite book, science concept, or challenging math problem. Knowing that these little ones will be the leaders of tomorrow, I feel absolutely privileged to be a part of their educational journeys.
The materials in this project will be used to make back to school kits for my first graders. They will use these essential school supplies to successfully complete distance learning lessons and assignments from home.
By donating to my project, you will help create a positive distance learning experience for my students.
For many of my students, essential school materials that are traditionally supplied in the classroom are not available at home. Purchase of these materials can cause financial strain on already struggling families, especially during the pandemic. Materials such as pencils, notebooks, crayons, sharpeners, whiteboards, erasers, Expo markers, scissors, math manipulatives, and more will facilitate a more successful and equitable start of the year for my students.
