Help me give my students back to school items, including a storage bin, pencil grips, a pencil sharpener, pencil bags, lamination sheets, and bags to keep their rest time items in.
I am excited to be providing educational experiences to at-risk four and five year-old children in a free pre-kindergarten classroom. These kiddos are creative, curious, and eager to learn. Many of our students are overcoming odds, as all of our students come from low-income households, and many come from traumatic backgrounds.
We strive to provide opportunities that our at-risk students may not otherwise have, or be able to enjoy.
We are eager to create life-long learners, through thoughtful instruction, and materials, both in our indoor and outdoor classrooms.
My Project
The back-to-school items requested will assist our children in need with keeping the items assigned to them neat and stored where they know they can find them again later, while providing an opportunity for each child to be responsible for supplies that they can call their own. The pencil bags will give each child a place to keep their pencils, dry erase markers, and crayons. These items will not only assist in their day-to-day learning, but will help them take ownership, and care, for items that are given to them.
Help provide back-to-school basics, for our children in need, to learn how to take care of and be responsible for their own items, while using them for day-to-day learning.
