My students need a mobile storage cart and new and updated equipment such as flag football belts, softballs, a mini soccer ball set, a soccer pop up goal as well as board and card games along with motor skill sets.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Can you remember your first days of middle school? Take a longer stroll down memory lane and think about your Physical Education (PE) class and think about how shy and scared you were to participate in front of new kids that you didn't know.
My sixth-grade students are entering their first year of middle school.
Many love PE but there are many more that are a bit hesitant to the idea of fitness in the classroom. My goal is to help them overcome the fear of participation and develop a love for fitness. I plan to do this by incorporating/using the classic board and card games and adding a fitness element to them.
My Project
Students are entering a new educational milestone and for many, this can be overwhelming and exciting at the same time. While many students love PE there are a few that are a bit reluctant to participate.
My goal is to meet the needs of every student enrolled in my PE classes.
I want to increase the participation but I also want to create the enjoyment and excitement for everyone in PE. We are very limited on equipment due to our school being one of the largest middle schools in our school district. A few games such as Capture the Flag and Scatterball are a few of the class favorites. Many classes are not able to participate due to not enough flag football belts because the belts are worn out or there are not enough. Rhino Soft balls are used for many activities within the class but cannot be played with by everyone due to wear and tear over the years. I would also like to bring back the classic board games and card games into the PE classroom and add fitness elements to them. By requesting these items along with a mobile storage cart, I want to make it my personal goal to ensure that every student has the opportunity to actively participate in PE. The supplies for this class can all be incorporated with movement and will meet the needs of all students' fitness abilities.
