Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my Spanish for Heritage Speakers class speak Spanish at home but have not had access to formal education in the language.
My students are proud of their bilingualism and biculturalism, and very thankful for the opportunity to continue developing their Spanish literacy skills at school.
My Project
The materials will be used by students in my Spanish classes to make posters and decorate bulletin boards to demonstrate understanding and knowledge in creative ways. I want to provide my students with the option to work on hands-on projects so that they can take some time off devices and interact with classmates.
The supplies I am requesting will allow me to provide a variety of quality materials for students to choose from in order to be creative and effective.
Students are more engaged when have access to supplies that are varied and in good condition.
