We're a very active Kindergarten. Students are always on the move to centers and guided reading or math groups to learn the standards we are trying to cover and keep them engaged. We love to use technology in centers and guided groups, as well as in our thematic units.
I have a classroom with students ranging from Kindergarten in abilities below grade level with special needs to above.
We have a wide range of abilities that need major differentiation. The wonderful thing about my class is that students can work at their own ability level. I do not like to limit my students to what is taught at their grade level. On the other hand, I have students who are working at a slower pace. We are working on being good leaders in our community by learning manners and treating others with kindness.
We are all ready to be back in the classroom. I am requesting supplies for when we get to go back to school. I want to be prepared for a great year.
Students will be engaged and active as we introduce a drum to our morning circles.
I also am asking for laminating sheets, colorful paper and page protectors for their center activities to use through out the year. The crayons, glue sticks and binders are for my students to be able to complete school work in class and at home. I look forward to being back with our students and making magic happen in the classroom.
