Back To Basics/Calculators In Hand

Help me give my students calculators for the opportunity to use technology in the classroom to fully comprehend math and its functions. Covid has really disconnected students from school and these tools will help them appreciate school more.

My Students

I love their willingness to try new things! New formulas, new content, new anything! They are 9th and 10th graders.

They learn quickly and want to try new technology which makes class more interesting :-) It's important to have these.

It's been a while since using calculators in class.

My Project

The disconnect from school has separated students from math tools such as calculators. They think everything is done on their phones and we need calculators to help learn the math content.

There are keys that are not available on their phones or their phones do not efficiently accelerate their grasp of the content so these devices will help students learn and check their understanding.

Not everyone has a calculator and some will share to complete their work. These donations will help tremendously. Some have not used one in 2 years.
