Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students in my classroom love learning! Each one brings something new and interesting to our daily lessons and discussions. My friends are 10 - 11 in age. They are full of energy and curiosity!

The students in my classroom drive the learning that takes place every day.

I love sharing this experience with them and being able to watch them grow as a learner. Their dedication and determination to succeed encourages me to be my best self for them, as well as my future students!

My Project

My students to be able to have access to certain materials that make learning exciting for them! We have whiteboards, but no expo markers. We would normally use whiteboards everyday in math. This made the kids excited to learn because let’s face it... there is just something about the whiteboards. We are also in need of a good electric pencil sharpener! The one we have now uses batteries and doesn’t have as much power as it takes to sharpen 40 plus pencils per day. Washable crayola markers always offer colors and creativity to our learning projects! However, when more than a few hands are on them, they dry out. So we need more!
