Help me give my students the basic supplies that they need to be successful in school. Folders, paper, pencils, and erasers are just a few items that my students need on a daily basis.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach a diverse group of 26 students in a small, rural community. We have 14 girls and 12 boys from all walks of life in our room. My students are some of the sweetest, smartest children I have ever met.
My 4th grade students need to be actively engaged for all content areas.
They are hard workers and want to learn. They enjoy STEM activities, online technology, and playing educational games. Not only do they strive to do their best, they always try to encourage one another as well.
My Project
Students need basic supplies in order to be active participants in the classroom. As a teacher, I normally provide any supplies that students forget at home or do not have. No student should ever go without these basic school supplies.
Our community was recently affected by Hurricane Florence.
Some students lost their basic school supplies. Their textbooks were destroyed due to the water damage. The materials we are requesting will allow me to run off copies of textbook pages until new books can be ordered. The paper, pencils, erasers, and folders will allow students to participate in daily activities and have a place to keep all their work organized.
