This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Year after year, I'm blessed and lucky enough to teach and spend my day with the sweetest kiddos alive! I teach in a high-poverty, low-socioeconomic community in Southern Mississippi. Our teachers are the best and the kiddos are just so awesome.
Each day, they step off the bus, ready and so excited to learn.
In my classroom, I try to make learning as fun as possible, but we do not always have the supplies and materials that we need to succeed.
My Project
This project is all about getting ready and prepared for our Summer School term. That's Right! Summer school is just around the corner and we need to be ready to go! We are asking for some very basic supplies that we will need for this exciting upcoming summer session. We are asking for pencils and paper for writing, scissors, crayons, and glue sticks for drawing and creating, smelly markers to use during small group centers, and index cards to use for word reading and blending activities. We also need printer ink for assessment purposes to make sure we are staying on track!
These basic items are so important for our summer school needs!
