My students need basic school supplies. The clipboards are an added bonus. Sometimes we take our students outside to work or read, and the clipboards would be an added bonus.
My school is set in a small rural area. We average about 100 students total. Most of my students are low income and sometimes struggle to get the school supplies they need. We as a school sometimes struggle to meet the basic needs of our students. With all that being said, however, our students are very hard workers and come to school with an eagerness to succeed, to please, and to help others. I want to be able to provide more resources for my students.
My Project
Most of the items I requested are just basic supplies that need replenished, but that students can't afford to replenish themselves.
The clipboards are nice when we go outside to study or work.
The golf pencils are for when my students are writing. So many times they want to erase and with the aide of the golf pencils they can't just jump and erase before they have had a chance to proofread.
It seems like the pencil cap erasers are the first to go! By Christmas time we seem to be almost out of paper, erasers, and pencils.
