Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have amazing students. Every day they come to school eager to learn despite numerous challenges. They are full of energy, excitement, and a boundless sense of imagination. What they lack are the resources to help them be all they can imagine themselves to be. That is where we come in! No public school can do it on their own anymore. The goodness of donors like you is needed so that our students see that they matter, too. Please consider helping us fund this project.
My Project
Schools are constantly in need of more supplies and we are constantly losing more and more funding. My kindergarten cutie pies come to school daily so excited to learn and love to create meaningful work as they learn to read, write, and invent. But we have a problem.
Kindergarteners go through a TON of paper, glue, and pencils!
As they are learning how to use supplies, there are a lot of accidents. Glue sticks are the most common casualty of little learners not using them properly and those poor glue sticks find an early demise. They are closely followed by paper and pencils. I stocked up on what I thought would be enough for the first half of the year and we are almost through all of our supplies in the second month of school. We need reinforcements!
