My Students

I have a great group of first graders who are eager to learn. I teach at a low-income school just outside of Topeka, KS. They work hard and always try their best, but sometimes lack the necessary skills and materials to be successful. Additional materials and experiences will help accelerate their school success. I work in a preschool through sixth grade elementary building. We use a traditional school year. My school is located in a suburban/rural area just outside of our capital city.

My Project

These are all materials that we use in our classroom on an almost daily basis. Lots of our station materials are made using the cardstock and laminating pouches. Pens add excitement to otherwise menial tasks and my stapler is currently broken!

When students are working towards an item that they desire, they will work harder and be more enthused about it.

This is why we use the candy in the classroom store. They love to save their tickets to buy a sweet treat. The balls are replacements for one of my flexible seating options, as they get popped from time to time.
