Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the privilege of teaching a diverse population of high school English Learners. Some of my students have been here for a few years while others have been here for a few days.
My classes are changing and growing constantly as students immigrate to the United States from around the world, which means our needs are always changing as well.
Each class has students from grades 9-12, which means there are a variety of skills and interests in our classroom, in addition to many different cultures and backgrounds.
My Project
In order to be successful, we need school supplies to participate in daily lessons more effectively! While I have provided a lot of the supplies needed for my classroom, we are now short on some of our basic needs, especially the ones we tend to go through very quickly.
From keeping our germs to ourselves by using hand-sanitizer to collaborating through post-it notes and writing folders, each of the items on our list will lead to a happier, healthier, and more effective learning environment.
My classes focus intensively on the four domains of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The supplies listed here are necessities for the activities that we participate in together.
