I have 8 children in my room. Their ages range from 0-3 years old. We have babies crawling on the floor and some trying to stand holding on to the furniture. We have children in the home center, children in the art center and in the water. One of our babies, with red hair, is excelling in her physical development, she is 7 months and already standing and ready to take on the world. We have another young man, with autism, in our class that was non-verbal when he enter the class three months ago and now he is saying the other children's names and is increasing his vocabulary daily.
Our children have had many obstacles in their lives to get through to get to the place they are now and they are not even 3 years old yet.
I am so proud of every little milestone that they tackle. I love to see the growth in the children's social skill, language, physical, cognitive and literacy skills that happens between the ages on 0-3.
My Project
My project is to bring in toys for our babies under three, to be able to explore and discover the different wonders in the world. Our babies need more educational toys to enhance their learning experience. To the average person looking into my classroom would think these babies are just playing. Just playing, No Way! They are building on the skills that will be used in their everyday life. They are building social skills, language skills, cognitive skills, literacy skills, and math skills to name a few. With your donation the children will have learning toys to interact with to learn through discovery. Thank you.
