My students are becoming Super Readers! Even though most of my students come from backgrounds that haven’t emphasized education, we are working on changing that attitude. In my classroom, we embrace books and we spend time reading books of our choice every day. We are inspired by each other's reading and we share book talks and rich conversations about books.
My students are incredible young people who are going to change the world!
We have been reading books and stories about young people who have made major changes in their communities and even the whole world. I can't wait to see what each and every one of my students do for our world!
My Project
The last set of graphic novels I put out for my students was gone within seconds. One student read the entire 8 book series in one day! I can't keep up! My students are constantly asking when I am going to get more. Help me keep them reading by bringing in more graphic novels for them to read!
The Babymouse series looks like a fantastic addition to our classroom library!
Students have actually been requesting them. I love that they love to read so much. And that they feel enough ownership of our classroom library that they will let me know what they want to see.
