My young students walk into my classroom every day full of energy, with a desire to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. Each day my students are asked, "Who is the best class in the whole world?" and they reply, "We are!" I believe in my students and I strive to show them that every day!
Young students are often overlooked when it comes to quality supplies and resources that meet their growing academic needs.
For the first time in many of their lives, my students are expected to sit and complete written work, learn to read, and cooperate with others. My students deserve the best, and I aim to provide all my students need to succeed!
My Project
This project is requesting headphones to use with our classroom technology. Students will be able to listen to books and play phonics games without distracting others in the class. The heavy-duty and tangle free cords are needed for young learners. Our class is also requesting a LOT of books that will help support baby steps to literacy!
Students who are exposed to an abundance of books at a young age have a greater vocabulary and develop a love of reading; my goal is to build my students' reading reading foundation one step at a time!
By providing young minds with a variety of books to use on a daily basis in our classroom and small groups, you will help foster an environment of readers. Putting age-appropriate books in the hands of young readers allows them to feel success on their level. Thank you for helping our class take baby steps to literacy!
