My Project

Welcome to Georgia. In one week, the high will be close to 70 degrees one day, another day the high will be somewhere in the mid-twenties! School buildings are built to withstand weather related events such as tornadoes, pounding rain, and snow. However, what the school climate control is not built to withstand is the swift swing in temperatures that happen. What's worse is that the temperature is not even controlled at the school level in my district!

Because of the topsy-turvy nature of the weather outside, the thermostat responds to the change by remaining constant.

While good for hospitals and health clinics, schools are not exactly the best locations in which to work cooler temperatures.

Imagine a class where multiple children are sitting at their desks with their hats and coats on, not waiting to go to recess, but simply trying to keep warm. This is where you get to come in to save the day. Two new space heaters will allow me to warm up the room so that students can work without having to wear winter gear. Even when the master facilities do not deem it cold enough to turn up the thermostat a few degrees, I can have control in my own classroom.
